These were masterfully crafted tales of the supernatural, steeped in the eerie atmospheres of Victorian and Edwardian settings.<\/p>

Often adapted from the works of M.R. James, a renowned ghost story author, these dramas were directed (with one exception) with chilling precision by Lawrence Gordon Clark. He understood the power of subtlety, relying on minimal special effects and haunting ambiance to unsettle viewers.
