We were really surprised by the reception of our debut issue and ended up selling out completely, thanks to our fantastic contributors and supportive community. We couldn\u2019t get them into the envelopes and posted quickly enough! These projects are entirely non-profit, but due to Ross\u2019s miscalculation of postage costs, the first 'zine ended up being a bit of a loss leader. Our goal is to showcase a more diverse range of voices this time, so we encourage submissions from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences.<\/p><p>We\u2019re also looking for a variety of tones. While spooky, spine-tingling tales are, of course, welcome, we\u2019d also love to see some humour and irreverence\u2014pieces that match a similar tone to our podcast maybe.<\/p><p>Submission Guidelines:<\/p><p><strong>Content<\/strong>: We prefer pieces with a folk horror or spooky spring\/summer theme for this issue. Articles related to topics we've previously covered on our podcast are also welcome; you can find a full list of episodes <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pod.link\/1547179456\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u>in our podcast feed<\/u><\/a>.<\/p><p><strong>Tone<\/strong>: A mix of atmospheric horror and lighter, more humorous pieces is encouraged.<\/p><p><strong>Length<\/strong>: Submissions should not exceed 3,000 words.<\/p><p><strong>Original Work<\/strong>: If you're thinking of creating something specifically for this publication, please provide a brief synopsis and a sample of your writing or artwork.<\/p><p><strong>Format<\/strong>: The 'zine will be A5, at least 56 pages, printed in full color.<\/p><p><strong>Deadlines<\/strong>: Submission deadline: 28 February 2025. Final drafts of selected material must be submitted by 21 March 2025.<\/p><p><strong>Copyright Information:<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Ownership<\/strong>: Contributors retain full copyright of their work.<\/p><p><strong>Permission: <\/strong>By submitting your work, you grant us non-exclusive rights to publish it in the 'zine and related promotional materials, with proper credit given.
